The effect of OSA Severity and CPAP Adherence on Weight Regain After Bariatric Surgery. Locke B, Kim J, Bennion J, Prasad C, Volckmann E, Sundar K.

Published:

A retrospective cohort of patients undergoing bariatric surgery who had a diagnosis of OSA. Weight regain (a common complication that occurs after initial weight loss following bariatric surgery) was not different in patients who were adherent to CPAP therapy as copared to those who were not. There was also no association of weight regain with initial severity (by AHI) of sleep apnea.
